Memorial Day on the Riverwalk

The San Antonio Riverwalk has expanded! Memorial Day turned out to be a beautiful day. We had some rain earlier that weekend and weren't sure whether the sun would stay out or not. Mom had been talking about going down on the river - she used to take anyone who came to visit downtown and to the Riverwalk, so we decided it would be a great day to venture out and see what was going on...

They have done a beautiful job in making this new expansion inviting! Next weekend will be the grand opening and the river taxi's will be taking people on tours. This is close to the Pearl Brewery.

These fish are under the bridge where the new part of the Riverwalk begins. They are lite up at night and are supposed to be very beautiful. Hard to tell in the middle of the day!

In case you have forgotten or never seen it - this is the Alamo. Tons of tourists visit it everyday.

Mother is really happier than she looks here!

That's better... She loves the flowers...

David and I enjoyed the day on the Riverwalk and the time with Mom.
