We're In - and Exhausted!!!

Our living room - AT&T FINALLY got everything up and running and we were actually able to watch the Cowboy game in our own living room, sitting on our couch!

The bakers rack made a nice addition to the living area...

My new stove!

It was a rough weekend, but with the help of Jason and his friends, Mike & Marco, we were able to get all the big stuff loaded into a huge U-Haul and moved over and put in place. The beds are set up, the living room, dining room, office and guest room are furnished and we are exhausted! Now the chore is to get everything OUT of the apartment! We've decided to take a break and give it a few weeks before we dive in again. Thank goodness we have some time before we have to be out of the apartment so we can decide what to keep and what to get rid of. It's amazing to me that there is so much "stuff" left at the apartment and the house is full!!! It makes you wonder how in the world we accumulate all the things we do - and why???? Oh well, we are just excited to be in our house and have really enjoyed the freedom of having our own space.

Ditto is happy, too - he loves the back yard and we love the fact that he doesn't need a leash to go there! And there are some dogs next door he can run the fence with - aren't neighbors wonderful???

Home Improvements... one light at a time...

We have started making this house our home! The outside lights were old and needed new bulbs anyway, so why not? Lowe's is going to love us before this is over! After searching for just the right look - we decided on these! David did a great job installing the fixtures and wa-laa - we have light! And you can even read the address in the dark!

Tomorrow is work day at the new house. David and I both took a couple of days of vacation to get ready for the BIG MOVE DAY on Saturday. We have pest control, carpet cleaners, a locksmith, and friends coming to help us get started. I finally feel like we are really moving! Stop by and take a look...

We are home owners again!

Wednesday morning, 8:30 AM we signed our mortgage papers!

We are very excited about finally getting back into a house.

It will be a slow move - but that will give us a chance to set up as we go!

Queen of the Crop

Yes, that's me! Queen of the Crop. Carla crowned me for completing the most pages (21 pages) in the first 8 hours of the crop I was on a roll! With pictures in my powerlayout box and my tape runner and cutting tools in hand I was blowing smoke! Around midnight I gave it up and went to bed, but returned early the next morning to complete my task! 28 more pages on Saturday morning...

That's when the problem began. I forgot a package of pictures! I had nothing to crop! So, Allison, my daughter-in-law, and I went to Kerrville to get our nails done and look for some scrapbooking supplies... It was a great afternoon for the two of us.

Back at the camp - I sorted through my paper and stickers, organized my bags and had smores after dinner. I packed up early and decided to come home on Sunday morning. It was a great weekend and I did get a lot accomplished - but oh, how much more I could have done if I had only packed that other package of pictures... but to look on the brighter side... I have some scrapbooking to do on Saturday at my CBC crop!
