Where has the time gone...

Tomorrow our son, Jason, turns 35. Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday that I was pregnant and waiting on him to arrive - he was already 2 weeks late... we didn't even know if the baby would be a girl or a boy - back then they didn't do sonograms unless something was wrong and you surely didn't know what you were having - so the room was painted yellow and green!

We were pleasantly surprised when at 8:28PM on March 24, 1975, Jason made his appearance into this world and into our world. He was simply beautiful - as babies are. And oh my - talk about a proud father - David was beaming from ear to ear! We had been married almost 3 years and were very excited about this addition to our family.

We watched him grow and enjoyed the good times and the tough times as he grew into the man God designed him to become. I couldn't be prouder of him and thank God everyday for him and what he means to David and me.

Jason is married to Allison and they have two children, Madi and Austin. They just built and moved into their first house this past summer and we enjoy being close enough to them to visit anytime we want.
This picture was taken last year in Jason's new house with his two grandmothers - Jonell Henning and LaVerne Hampton Janicki.

Happy birthday Jason! Let's party tomorrow night at Timbo's!!

One Year at CAM

Yesterday I celebrated my one year anniversary at CAM. What a blessing this has been. It hasn't been an easy year, but it has been very rewarding and I must say - I love my job. The people are wonderful and I truly enjoy going to work every day.
My boss, the Executive Director, made me a German Chocolate Cake to celebrate! Talk about yummy! She did an excellent job and everyone who took a piece got the best cake ever! Thank you for helping me celebrate a wonderful year at Christian Assistance Ministry! I am looking forward to many more!

Let the Party Begin...

It's birthday month! To start off the week-long celebration, Bob & Mary came down from Amarillo. Mary's brother was also celebrating his birthday earlier in the week, so we took advantage of them being here and started mom's celebration early.Mom & I drove to Houston for her birthday. Here's a shot of me and Abby enjoying our time at the spa. Mom & Lauren were getting pedicures across from us.Cameryn, Abby, Mother, Berkeley, Bethany and Lauren gathered around the kitchen at John & Alene's.
What a cake! It was very yummy - and looked great, too!Brady and Cameryn helped GiGi blow out the candles! Happy 87th Mom! I honestly don't know who enjoyed it more - the kids blowing out the candles or mom watching!

My How Time Flies!

It's hard to believe it's already March 1! Seems like only yesterday we were dealing with Valentine's Day... March is a very busy month for our family...

Mom's will be 87 years young this week! She keeps asking me how old she is... and when I tell her, she says "that's not so bad, I thought I was 90!" We are planning a short trip to Houston to see my brother to celebrate and she is really looking forward to that. My oldest brother, Bob and his wife Mary were in town this past weekend and we were able to spend some time with them as well. It's nice that mom is getting to see all her kids...

Next week I will be celebrating my one year anniversary at CAM. It's been a great year. I love my job! And I love the people I work with and look forward to coming in everyday. It's such a blessing -

Both Madi and Jason have birthdays this month.

Yes, it's a busy month, but it is full of celebrations - that's what I call fun!
