A Great End to a Wacky Weekend!

On Sunday Jason and Allison meet us at Taco Cabano for breakfast and then we headed out to Alamo Golf Club. The guys played 18 holes of golf and the gals rode the carts. It wasn't the best course in San Antonio by far, but it was fun for me - first time to see David actually play golf - and I WAS impressed!

Allison and I rode the carts while the guys golfed. We got some great shots of them.

I've waited YEARS to see this! David and Jason on the Golf Course together!

Now the earlier part of the weekend was something else. It started on Friday night when David and I went to Rio Mamba for dinner. I had been there once, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. We got there fairly early - 6:15ish, Friday night. Got right in and seated. Things were looking good. The waiter took our order and brought us our drinks... then we lost the waiter. 30 minutes passed and no quesadilla's. 1/2 chicken, 1/2 beef. Easy order - nothing fancy. We finally got the attention of the "manager" and asked about our food. He went back to the kitchen and said there was some mix up - it would be right out - but to save room for dessert - it would be on him. Okay - that's nice.... 15 minutes later we got our food. But only 1/2 of it. They really messed up and the other 1/2 would arrive shortly! Amazing... the food was good and we will try it again - but probably not on a Friday night...

Then there was Saturday... started out good with our regular breakfast at Taco Cabana. Then we went to the Sprint store to try and take care of a billing problem that had been going on for weeks! After lots of frustration and some high blood pressure on David's part, it finally got resolved with the help of a great store manager! Hopefully that little ordeal is behind us!

Next was lunch at Lucky Burger... one of my favorite hangouts with the M&M's - (my best girlfriends). We used to eat there alot - but this was the first time for David to go there. They have the BEST ONION RINGS on the planet! Honestly! Yummy - if you like OR's go there for sure! Back to my story... we ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger - and guess what - they charged me for adding cheese - NOT! Back to the register for a credit on that... we asked for extra pickles and extra tomato - you know burger joints just don't put any vegetables on the burgers unless you beg them to. Anyway, 25cents for each of those - and 99cents for the bacon. They called our name and David went for the food. Back at the table we found out they FORGET the bacon! And they only gave us one little bity tomato! Back to the counter for our 99cent bacon and an extra tomato. Somehow this weekend was not a good eating out weekend for us!

Things did get better when we decided to get a pizza from Papa Murphy's to take home for dinner. Now that's a pizza! If you haven't tried that - you should. Great quality, wonderful crust and lots of toppings! And very reasonably priced!

I guess I should be a food critic after what we experienced this weekend - thank goodness for the golf - nothing bad happened there! Have a great week and don't let our negative experiences keep you away from your favorite hangouts!
